CRBI is hosting a series of seminars that introduce the research topics currently pursued in the laboratories of the members of the centre.
In this first seminar, Dr. Sergey Krylov, the director of the centre, will welcome the members, introduce the mission and the goals of the centre, and will give a talk on his current research. Dr. Krylov utilizes Capillary Electrophoresis, a powerful bioseparation tool, to generate and analyze biomolecular ligands. He will introduce the approaches for generation of ligands with pre-determined affinity characteristics, or "smart" ligands, and will describe the successes he had in generation of such "smart" aptamer and small-molecule ligands.
Time:10:30 AM until 12:00 noon.
Location: Lumbers building, Room 306 (York University, Keele Campus)
Refreshments will be served.
