Seminar: Gerald Audette - May 6th, 2009

CRBI is hosting a series of seminars that introduce the research topics currently pursued in the laboratories of the members of the centre. In this first round of seminars, the primary investigators will give overviews of their research interests.

Dr. Audette uses various cutting-edge methods, such as X-ray crystallography, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy, Small Angle X-ray Scattering, Electron Microscopy and Fibre Diffraction, to uncover the structures of proteins that take part in formation of large biomolecular complexes. His research helps answer question about mechanisms of bacterial conjugation, transfer of antibiotic resistance genes and find applications in nanotechnology.
