CRBI is hosting a series of seminars that introduce the research topics currently pursued in the laboratories of the members of the centre. In this first round of seminars, the primary investigators will give overviews of their research interests.
Dr. Johnson employs Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy to uncover structural infromation of RNA-protein and RNA-ligand interactions. RNA-protein interactions are of fundamental importance in biology and control many important biological processes such as mRNA splicing, protein synthesis, and translational regulation.
