CRBI is hosting a series of seminars that introduce the research topics currently pursued in the laboratories of the members of the centre. In this first round of seminars, the primary investigators will give overviews of their research interests.
Dr. Hudak's research focuses on Pokeweed antiviral protein (PAP), a protein which displays broad-spectrum antiviral activity against several plant and animal viruses including Tobacco mosaic virus, Poliovirus and HIV. Her goal is to determine how PAP detects viral RNAs, and to identify host proteins that interact with PAP.
